Alex will
be performing in the "un-performable" 1923 surrealist play
What Lovely Weather! at London's Barbican
arts centre Thurs July 15th, 2010 and at The
Last Days of Decadence throughout the summer.
He recently
completed recording narration of Louis Aragon's A Wave of Dreams
(1923, translated by Susan De Muth) with musicians, Tymon
Dogg and Alex Thomas. The book/CD is now available to order
online from Thin
Man Press.
Based both in London and Edinburgh, Alex trained with stage movement
/ physical theatre guru Lorna
Marshall, with Venice
Manley and other members of the Roy
Hart Theatre, at the City Literary Institute and with many
more renowned drama teachers.
Alex has performed in numerous independent films, spanning genres including
black comedy, sci-fi, horror and experimental arthouse. Recently, he
played evolutionary biologist, Dr Solomon Jones in Tag Films' wry comedy,
Entropy, and disgruntled software engineer, Bill in
PetyCaro's The Best in the Business.
As a theatre actor, Alex has played roles such as the Doctor in Theatre
Mixte's Woyzeck, Victor Frankenstein in Company:Collisions
hit show Frankenstein and anti-poet, Monsieur DaDa
in Theatre of the Absurd's popular cabaret the greatest ever
DaDa show.
As a spoken word artist, Alex has taken part in multi-media collaborations
with musicians and artists from all disciplines. He has also directed
and performed in several productions for radio.
